Off to Iloilo with my 2 booger cousins & sissy flight PR 2139 with PAL
Here we come ILO! Thank God for another adventure with my family 🙂
ESTANCIA to CARLES
It’s about the journey not the destination
There’s a big difference whenever you travel with family or with your friends. Admittedly the way i behave when i’m with my parents is far different when i’m with my friends ,there will always be a certain point that you need to shut up your mouth when your with them HAHAHA!
It’s a bloody long way so i make sure that i have my travel buddies ready. Thanks spotify, stickO and water for saving my life!
I find the road trip a little bit boring ‘coz the driver doesn’t play music or talk to us about the Gigantes Island, or I don’t know maybe he wants to focus on driving rather than promoting tourism 😛
After 3hrs, we made it to the port! Then register to the office for the boat ride, Php 75.00 is the regular rate otherwise Php 60.00 for student, senior or pwd. It will take 2hrs from the port to the island. Make sure you have snacks or else you’ll starved to death like us LOL
NagIsla De Gigantes
We stayed at Sen San Resort overnight cost us 2,500 pesos good for 6 pax then additional 200 for mattress.
2 Queen size bed
Aircon from 3pm to 6am only
You love island, Live with it!
No signal, limited electricity just the paradise & you!
Time flies so slow when you’re out of the busy world. Literally, you will find serenity.
We had our lunch about 1300H because they prepared a lot of dishes! All sea foods! #nomeatchallenge for 2days 🙂
Our menu for lunch
🔸Wasay-Wasay (it’s a must try!, it’s like tahong)
🔹Scallops (the main dish)
After lunch we had our rest outside the room because we cannot take the heat & much better to sat down outside while enjoying the view.
Life saver: UNO card
Since there’s no internet and signal, there’s nothing to do under the sun except for playing card! That’s what we got while waiting for 3pm to have our tour in the island.
Appreciate the little things, someday you’ll look back & realize it really matters
Tick tock! It’s 3pm time to lagaw-lagaw!
The only place to see during the day tour is the Lighthouse & Cave but you will definitely enjoy the ride because of the people there. Filipino smile are the best! Everyone you passed by will wave at you and will say hello esp the kids! They love to high five!
We paid 75pesos each for round trip tour riding on a motorcycle. (We don’t have a choice, there’s no other mode of transpo)
The good thing about them is that they know how to bargain & since they’re language is visaya, we should adjust *thanks mom for being translator.
To say “how much?” is “Pila?”
Then the kids will automatically respond “may lima, may sampo, may kinse” and it’s so funny because they have rhyme saying the exact words (just watch my snapchat @chickletrooocks)
Too bad the lighthouse coffee shop was closed that time, the only thing you can do is to take pictures & our tour guide is “mema” #worstTourguideEvah
Trekking going back
Going up to the cave! The struggle is real! Steep as it’s finest! But good thing to try #exerciseba
Surprisingly they told us we could go to the center to get some signal and will charged us 15 pesos for 15mins like
Time is gold
After 15mins of getting connected to the the world, time to get back at the resort to have some swimming!
Unfortunately, when we get back around 5pm the water was already gone
#lowtide there’s no way we can swim so we try to go to the another island in front of ours by just walking #islander
That’s how it looks like now, from clear blue water a while ago it turns out to grassy dry island. when you see it 😛
We had fun hunting some water creatures like different colors of star fish, jelly fish and carbby. lol
After a long tiring day time to refresh, taking a bath is a must! You cannot bare the heat I swear!!
Dinner time! #Pangat the lunch was unexpected, it’s pricy like 200 pesos each & we’re 10 so we just eat our leftover food & ask to preheat those (additional 150 pesos for that) *everything has charged like , hot water for 15pesos)
Uno time before sleep 🙂
2SEP 03 2016
We already checked out so that after our island hoping we’ll just go straight ahead to carles port. Anyhow, we only have our backpack so no worries. we’ll wash up & change clothes at our relatives house in Carles.
Living Life to the Fullest
Heading back to to carles! Bye isla de gigantes! It was nice to see you 😉
